Short biography

Richard Skalt is a manager at the Digital Society Institute (DSI) at the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT Berlin). Prior to joining the DSI, he worked in the Technology and Global Affairs Program at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP). Richard is a political scientist by training with expertise in cybersecurity, tech policy, digital trade & economy, and cloud computing. He graduated from the Double Degree Master Program in Political Science at Stockholm University (SU) and Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) Munich. In the past, he held various positions in the private sector, and academia with a focus on cybersecurity, digital communications, and research on critical infrastructure protection.
